- This was the first time that I worked on a research proposal. The proposal helped me begin to conceptualize my research idea. Also, the project was a good way to become more familiar with the formation of a research proposal for my dissertation as well as applying for funding.

- This was a project that I wrote initally for QUAL 8400 final paper. In this paper, I made many revisions and the structure of the paper is different from QUAL 8400 final research proposal. I believe the this paper shows how my learning has improved in writing a qualitative paper.

Observation Project (WORD)

- In this project, we practiced one of the data collection methods for qualitative study, observation. We took the condensed fieldnotes when we were in the site and then constructed the expanded fieldnotes after we left the site. We collected the artifacts to support our description in the paper. This was a good practice. I learned the importance of narrowing down the topic before we are at the site as well as the skills to describe the setting, the context and the subjects.

Class Blog for EDIT 2000 (Fall 2006 & Spring 2007)

- The blog site is an efficient way to communicate with my students in EDIT 2000. I usually post the blog before every class, which also helps me to think through the lesson plans ahead of the class.
